About the Founder
Arriving in Narita straight off a 14 hour flight to Tokyo, TiredTraveler founder Brian Pearl stepped off the plane and into Tokyo for an unplanned 3 month stay. With only a hotel reservation for that night and a rough idea how to get there it was time to try and live in Japan. Brian maneuvered his 50lb suitcase through the late night crowd of Shinjuku, in the smothering humidity trying to find the hotel before it closed for the night.
Sweating buckets and having no luck finding his way through the croweded streets, Brian attempted broken Japanese phrases to get directions with little results. After an hour of wandering the streets luck was on his side and within the cozy room of Toyoko Inn sitting in a ice cold bath counting his blessings and wishing he'd planned ahead!
Your experience can be much smoother though! Let us find you a place to stay and make all the arrangements before you even arrive. Many renters can arrange to meet you at the airport and take you to your apartment straightaway!
